About Me

K. C. Taylor is a decorated educator and independent author. She graduated from Indiana State University with a B.Sc. in Education and from American College of Education with a M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction. Most of her twenty plus years in the classroom has been in the middle grades with a specialty in math and social studies. She 

K. C. Taylor is a decorated educator and independent author. She graduated from Indiana State University with a B.Sc. in Education and from American College of Education with a M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction. Most of her twenty plus years in the classroom has been in the middle grades with a specialty in math and social studies. She is the recipient of three teacher of the year awards. 

As a young adult author, K.C. has written and published several young adult books including the independent best seller, Any Possible Outcome: A Book of Urban Tales. She is the founder of Sapati Ingera, an independent publishing company established with the wellbeing of all children in mind. She has conducted school visits and youth workshops all over the country.

K.C. has strong midwestern roots. Born in Gary, IN, she also lived in Milwaukee, WI and Dolton, IL. She currently lives in Indianapolis with her husband and two daughters. K.C. volunteers in her church’s nursery and is a proud member of the mission team. She completed two mission trips to Ghana. She enjoys spending time with family, and her hobbies include reading, hiking, collecting antique unicorns, and traveling.
